Experience

 

Aug 2013 – Present Outsource Partners International Contracted to LINX, Inc. for various access control projects throughout the greater Denver area including Denver Public Schools, Comcast Data Centers, and several hospitals. Access Control includes the installation of IP based security cameras, card readers, and various electronic sensors which integrate via control panels to the LAN.

 

Oct 2012 – Aug 2103 Cigna Health Services Greenwood Village, CO Voice/Data Support

Responsible for daily moves, adds, and changes on Avaya 8700 digital and Cisco IP phone systems.

Also provide daily support for Cisco 6500 data switches, routers, internal WiFi systems.

NOTE: Voice and Data support group for Cigna was layed off on June 10^th

 

Nov 2010 – July 2012 JPI Worldwide, Inc Iraq – Afghanistan – VSAT Systems Installer

Responsible for installation and maintenance of vsat satellite communications systems for civilian companies in Iraq and the US Military in Afghanistan primarily at remote combat outposts. Systems supported ISP and networking for data and VOIP service.

 

Sept 2009 – Sept 2010 ITT-Systems, Camp Stryker, Iraq – Telecommunications Technician

Responsible for supporting telecommunications for military and civilian personnel at Camp Striker in Iraq. Responsibilities include installation and maintenance of Cisco VOIP switching equipment and fiber infrastructure along with daily service calls and administration of NIPR and SIPR networks.

 

May 2009 – Sept 2009 Outsource Telecom ,Telecom Installation Technician – Colorado Springs, CO

Responsible for converting local Sam’s Club from Meridian phone system to Cisco VOIP system during a store remodeling project. This also included replacing all copper and fiber infrastructure including the relocation of the data center (computer room). This was a temporary 13 week project

 

Feb 2007 – Feb 2008  ITT-Systems, Camp Adder, Iraq – IGX Telecom Switch Technician

Responsible for supporting telecommunications for military and civilian personnel at Tallil Air Base in Iraq. Responsibilities include installation and daily maintenance (MAC) of Redcom IGX switching equipment, Also, experienced in OSP with installation of fiber optics, and copper. Job duties included fiber splicing and installation and maintenance of routers and switches for NIPR and SIPR data/voip applications.

 

July 2006 – Jan 2007  Imagine Technologies, Denver, CO - Telecom Field Engineer 

Responsible for installation and support of Avaya digital and VOIP telephone systems throughout Colorado and the United States. Related duties included customer support, vendor interaction, and onsite customer training.

 

March 2006 – June 2006 RC Utilities, Denver, CO - Fiber Optic Technician  Short term contract for installation and splicing of fiber optic cable for the cities of Denver and Colorado Springs.

Responsible for supporting telecommunications for all military personnel at Camp Victory during reconstruction of Iraq. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and administration of Redcom

IGX switches and related support equipment. Factory trained and certified on Redcom IGX switching equipment.

 

 

 

Jun 2003 – Oct 2003 Womack’s Casino, Cripple Creek, CO - IT Specialist

Responsible for daily maintenance of all AS400 servers, desktop PC’S, and telecom equipment, including daily backups of all servers, installation of software, and maintenance of casino related equipment. I also interfaced with various vendors on a daily basis to minimize equipment downtime.

 

November 2001 – June 2003

* Due to the economic recession Colorado experienced in the technical industry, I became involved in various construction projects which consisted of concrete form setting, framing, and carpentry, including the construction of the Woodland Park Library

 

 

 

May 2000 –Oct 2001  INTEL Corporation, Colorado Springs, CO - Telecom Switch Technician  Responsible for supporting telecommunications for all contracting personnel during construction of wafer manufacturing facilities in Colorado Springs. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and administration of Mitel 200 switches and related support equipment, fiber and T1 interface, data and voice infrastructure, etc. I am certified on Mitel 200 switches. This position was originally with SMI International, a telecom contractor with whom I was employed specifically for this project. Intel experienced a 95% reduction in workforce; I was one of the last 5% still employed prior to plant closing.

 

Aug 1998 - May 2000 COMPAQ Corporation, Colorado Springs, CO - Telecom Analyst  Responsible for supporting all telecommunications for Wells Fargo Banks as an outsourced contractor. This position required extensive knowledge of a wide variety of PBX and key system including AT&T Definity G3R, Northern Telecom SL-1 and Meridian, Rolm and Toshiba. Responsibilities included administration of Octel and Meridian voice mail. Project management duties included upgrading and replacing PBX systems and coordinating various vendor interaction.

 

Nov 1997 - August 1998 AUDIO ANALYSTS, Colorado Springs, CO – Electronics Technician. Responsible for installing, calibrating, and servicing commercial sound systems in the Denver/Colorado Springs area. Installations were primarily in school systems, churches, and larger facilities including the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Between installations, responsibilities included repair of complex sound reinforcement systems returned from musical touring groups such as Bruce Springsteen, Shania Twain, and Wynonna Judd.
